Summer Breeze cover up

IMG_4662

I knit this cutie on the fly. I didn’t have a pattern but I know I wanted a mesh like pattern. It was definitely free form knitting. I cast on what I thought would be wide enough and just knit away. IMG_4662  The yarn is a lace weight Pima Cotton/Silk blend from Wildwood Yarns. It has a wonderful drape and isn’t too heavy. It’s perfect to throw on over my bathing suit to go to the beach or pool.

Our new Knit Pillow Cover Patterns

image-03-03-17-03-51

image-03-03-17-03-51I love pillows and they are a quick way to update your home decor without spending a lot of money.
My new pillow cover line incorporates simple lines with natural colors.  In the past when I made hand knit pillows, I never liked the way a knit back looked. The pillow never held it’s shape. My new pillows use a piece of fabric for the back which holds the shape of the pillow much better. The pillow covers are removable. The front has a  rib at the bottom with 3 button holes. They are easy to knit and use the intarsia method of colorwork.  We have 6 designs so far with more on the way.

I love using organic yarn and my samples are made using Knit Pick’s simply organic and Blue Sky Fibers Organic worsted weight.
