Tiny Sweater KAL Week #15

When I decided to make 52 tiny sweater designs, I wondered where I would find beautiful hand dyed yarn in a small quantity to make my sweaters the way I imagined them: Whimsical, Vibrant and with good quality yarn. It seemed wasteful to buy an entire skein of yarn when I only use about 30 yards per sweater so I bought every color of Lion Brand Bon Bon yarn I could find. I used one skein for each sweater. Most of them were solid colors and they worked great but I was still itching for unusual yarn.

When I make custom labels for a fellow etsy seller, I usually check out their Etsy store so I can get a feel for what they make and how I should design their labels and when I checked out EvilEnabler’s Etsy store I discovered I could purchase mini skeins of yarn.  The next 4 sweaters are made using hand dyed variegated yarn from EvilEnabler.  There are lots of stores on Etsy that sell mini skeins such as MermaidKnitting, NapaValleyFiber and SunSoakedYarn.

Week 15 features a colorful Poppy flower on the front.  The sweater is made using only 3 double pointed needles. This is so much less awkward than using 4 or 5 double pointed needles on such a tiny garment.

Sweater is knit from the top down.

Sweater is approx. 3” tall
